High School Scholarships - Ecuador 2010

With many families on the coastal towns, paying for an education is not an option. To go to high school, the children must have books, supplies, shoes, uniforms and transportation. Without these, they cannot go. |

Finally, organization achieved! Each student gets a notebook for each subject, uniforms for class and for gym, shoes, pencils, pens, loose-leaf paper, rulers, markers, erasers, toothpaste and a toothbrush. |

We held a town-wide meeting at our $4/night hotel, basically to save us a lot of time. We explained the importance of education, homework, grades and taking care of school supplies and materials to the 17 children who would soon be starting school. |
